Integral Therapy

What is Integral Therapy?

Integral Therapy is a holistic form of psychotherapy developed at the Center for Integral Life Art. (Senter for Integral Livskunst). It helps you reconnect with your true self, increase self-awareness and create lasting emotional healing and personal growth.

The therapy works by gently bringing unconscious patterns into awareness, releasing what no longer serves you, and strengthening your ability to live with more openness, self-compassion and authenticity.

It can be seen as a bridge between:

  • Mind, body, and spirit

  • Conscious and unconscious aspects of the self

  • The individual and their relationships

  • Inner healing and everyday life

What Makes Integral Therapy Unique

  • It supports both emotional healing and spiritual growth

  • It strengthens intuition, empathy, and inner wisdom

  • It combines talk therapy with healing work

  • Music is used to support relaxation, emotional processing, and depth

  • Faith and spirituality can be included in a way that feels natural to you

How a Session Works

Sessions begin with a conversation to understand your needs and intentions. You are then guided into a calm, relaxed state where deeper therapeutic and healing work can take place.

The process may include emotional release, insight, gentle healing, and the softening of old protective patterns. You are supported in reconnecting with your inner resources, strength and sense of meaning.

Healing is always guided by your own beliefs- whether spiritual, energetic, psychological or intuitive.

The Role of the Therapist

An Integral Therapist acts as a compassionate guide, not someone who controls or directs your process. The work is shaped by your insights, pace, and readiness.

Key values include:

  • You remain in charge of your own healing

  • Therapy supports empowerment, not dependency

  • The goal is to strengthen self-trust, self-love and inner confidence

A Gentle Spiritual Dimension

Integral Therapy acknowledges the emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects of being human. For those who feel aligned, spirituality and faith can be integrated as supportive elements in the healing process.

You are always met with respect, openness, and safety and nothing spiritual is imposed- it follows your personal worldview.

A Cause-Oriented Approach

Rather than only treating symptoms, Integral Therapy explores the deeper roots of emotional patterns- often linked to early life experiences, beliefs and self-image.

The intention is to help you reconnect with your authentic self so you can live with more freedom, creativity, courage and love.

The Role of Music

Music is used as a gentle support to:

  • Help access emotions

  • Encourage insight and inner flow

  • Create a safe, calming, and nurturing atmosphere
